My son loves this Dojo!!! He’s always motivated for class and everyone in the Dojo is pretty much the same way. I’m happy we chose this Dojo.
I've been going to this dojo for just over a year now. It's not just a place to work out; these people have helped me grow and be more confident. They push me, help me when I fall, and cheer with me when I reach a milestone.
I've been going to this dojo for almost 10 years, it has always been a great experience.
I started the batto class about a year ago and it has been a very rewarding experience. It has given me a greater understanding of the katana, martial arts and Japanese culture, and of my body and mind. I have already grown quite a bit as a person while being here and I'm excited to continue my development!
I have had the opportunity to visit the Florida Genbu Kai dojo several times in the past seven years due to business travel. Sensei Moore provides and excellent environment for learning traditional martial arts including kobudo and batto-do. The dojo is warm and friendly and there is a culture of learning the art correctly without being robotic. This curriculum is based on the traditional foundation of the three K's: Kihon (basics), Kata (forms) and Kumite (sparring).
If you are looking for a traditional martial arts school, this is the place.
My son has been training with Sensei Moore for a year and a half. His confidence level and attitude have improved dramatically! He loves the weapons and sparing classes in addition to the regular training. Highly recommended this dojo.
My daughter has been training at the school for several months now. Sensei Moore was incredibly helpful with her transition to this school. She definitely feels she has found the best place to be. We couldn't be happier with our experience! Thanks again!
Excellent atmosphere, attitudes, philosophies, and teaching program. More like a family of cousins yet retains the traditions consistent with karatedo and kobudo.
My son has been taking lessons here for about months. He has progressed nicely. Sensei is great with the kids. He balances a good sense of humor with a demand for respect and discipline.
